It's unique charm and decor is a feast for the eyes, and the staff very friendly and attentive. There was a jacuzzi in our room at the top of the spiral staircase on the third floor and intricate fixtures attached to the ceilings. Our room had a semi-private deck outside but we didn't use it at all because the weather in late August is too muggy to sit outside in the daytime. The following small nit-picky things should probably be noted: 1) the tea and coffee cups are very small. Some of us prefer a larger cup when trying to wake up in the morning! 2) there are no tea towels or paper towels in the kitchen. When we were rinsing off our plates there was nothing to dry them with so we let them air dry in the sink. 3) the shower was very small! I'm talking like not even enough to stretch out your arms. I believe this is comparable to some hotels in Europe. 4) The room had two small fridges but only one worked. 5) We couldn't turn on the ceiling fan in the bedroom because the blades on the fan kept catching in the curtains. It's really an oversized fan for such a room, mounted too close to the window. Note, they will charge you a $200 deposit during your stay but you get that back if there is no damage to the room. It's also $10/day if you want breakfast. All of these seem really petty details because we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel! If we ever get back this way again I would consider staying here again. Thanks Chateau Saint-Marc!"^^ . "2016-08-28T00:00:00"^^ . "0"^^ . . .
