They had the phone we wanted for the best price so they got our business.\n\nThe location is a little bit random, and with everyone in a hurry along paradise moving into McCarran it took some defensive driving to avoid being rear-ended. We had to pass the entrance the first time and circumnavigate the block to get in the parking lot. If you decide to go make sure you are in the left most lane if you are south of Tropicana with your left turn signal on. They've done a good job with their signage but could use something closer to the sidewalk.\n\nThe rep was nice. He sold us the phone. He offered to throw in a free jailbreak/personal hotspot.\n\nWe took the phone home (ET) and within a couple of weeks a problem with the charger port developed where getting the phone to charge was hit or miss. \n\nWe remembered that they warranty the phone for a year if you buy from them (good policy IMO). We went down to tell them what was going on but were told that without our receipt the warranty is void. \n\nI personally disagree with this policy, especially for this company. They have sophisticated software, hardware and technicians. They should keep track of their phone sales by serial number. If I take my phone to the Apple store after a retail purchase, or purchase with a carrier contract, they will look up my serial to see if it is still under factory warranty. They have millions upon millions of buyers, yet they still manage to keep fastidious records. I throw away or shred pretty much all paper these days. If it's truly important I'll scan it then trash it. The only thing analog I have anymore are my families SS cards, IDs and passports. Anything else paper I've kept has sentimental value. What I am saying is, email the invoices GG! Keep digital copies of the invoices, keep them in the cloud if you must. Don't rely on paper that you told me you throw away after two months (Which is against the tax law BTW, a business must maintain its financial records for 7 years according the IRS).\n\nAfter trying to reason with the manager or owner (not sure, I think his name is Miguel), I finally decided to open up my bank records on my phone and prove it to him by showing him the purchase. Unfortunately they do cash only (which raised another eyebrow), so I had to show the ATM withdrawal from the am/pm right next door for roughly the purchase amount. He finally decided to do us a \"favor\" and give us a new receipt. He then fixed the phone and it was able to charge again. \n\nLess than a week later the charge starts pulling the hit or miss deal again. Here we go AGAIN. We live all the way in Centennial Hills, these guys are on Paradise and Trop. My wife and I both work, we have two children, gas is expensive, we've already been there once. We don't want to go back. My wife needs her phone on her, as most people on the grid do. Emergencies, Directions, Contact information, Google to help us appear more educated than we are... etc. So one night when no matter what she does there is no charge, she begins really wrenching that charger in there hoping it will make contact with the pins and give her some battery life. A little piece of plastic from the internal phone charger breaks. Uh oh... user malfunction... they screwed up the repair but she broke the hardware trying to get it to work. So... I get it, my wife could've dropped off the grid for a day and made her way back to GG and reiterated the issue. \n\nLong story even longer: We get there, they see the hardware is broken. She tells them the story, they shake their head and say something smart like \"the dog must've chewed on this\". I get it... these guys have people coming in trying to get a free repair all of the time. They've probably also fooled an iBar Genius or two. We all know the score. But here's the difference... this is the second time we've been here for the same issue. Sure we screwed up, but it wouldn't have happened if not for their mistake. \n\nI tried reasoning with the manager again but this time he went as far as to call me a liar. He said he fixed it himself and there is no way this could have happened with his level of expertise. Pointing to his employees he stated that \"if one of these guys would've fixed it\" there wouldn't be an issue, but since he handled it personally he knows he did it right. Infallible it seems.\n\nBased on my experience if there is a reason for them to doubt you, they will. Additionally for them, that doubt only rationalizes and justifies their concern for the bottom line. \n\nMy suggestion to GG: \n- Keep better records.\n- Convert from a cash only business to a Credit/Debit/Cash business\n- Have more faith in your customers, be willing to eat a little bit of profit (in our case $30, a marked up price) on the front end for a long term relationship in the long run.\n- Don't call your customers liars.\n\nYou've got my info GG. It's not too late to make it right."^^ . "18"^^ . "2012-09-27T00:00:00"^^ . "1"^^ .
