He had a nasty anal gland problem and after a few visits, it was under control. Everyone I dealt with at that time was very friendly, informative, and very good with my dog. \n\nI rescued a puppy from the county in September and took her to Oasis after she started coughing and spitting up phlegm. The vet at Oasis said that she had a stomach issue and gave her pills and bland food to eat for a couple of days. Once we got home, the puppy started getting worse. After 15 minutes of research online, I figured she had kennel cough because the videos online of dogs with kennel cough sounded exactly the same way she did. I was pretty disappointed that something so common and obvious was misdiagnosed by the vet, even after she coughed exactly that way in front of him. The following day, she got worse and I had to take her to an emergency vet - talk about $$$$$$$! They diagnosed her with pneumonia brought on by kennel cough and gave me antibiotics for her. She cleared up a little but kept coughing. She passed it on to my older dog. I talked to a coworker who rescues dogs and she said to request a specific antibiotic from the vet. I took both dogs back to Oasis, and they were both given antibiotics, but not the kind that I had asked for. My older dog cleared up, but the puppy continued to cough. I took her to Oasis again and they did x-rays, blood work, etc. and ended up giving her yet another antibiotic (again, not the kind that I had asked about). We mentioned to the vet how upset we were that something so obvious had been misdiagnosed at the first visit, but we did not get any kind of discount or apology - nothing. \n\nEverything finally resolved itself after I asked friends that were going to Mexico to look for that antibiotic that my coworker had recommended. They found it for $11.00. I gave it to my puppy for 5 days and her cough cleared up. From start to finish, the kennel cough fiasco ended up costing me $1500. If she had been diagnosed correctly the first time, and given the correct antibiotic, I wouldn't have ended up paying nearly as much and she wouldn't have been sick for as long as she was. Luckily she's fine now, but I won't be taking either of my dogs back there."^^ . .
