. . "I only went to CTown for about 6 weeks, but those weeks were the best training I had received to date. \n\nThe coaches are knowledgable and friendly, but they know how to push you when you need it. They will not get in your face and yell at you, but they will cheer you on and stick with you through the workout. \n\nThe beginner's program (Training Camp) is very cost efficient and effective. They actually just changed their formatting of it and you learn everything you need to know in that time. Carl and Mike are very patient, hands on, and knowledgable in order to keep you safe and hopefully doing CrossFit for a long time. It is cheaper than most of the other gyms around. \n\nThe WODs (Workout of the Day) are challenging, but they give you a good variety and let you know where your strengths and weaknesses lie. Carl has excellent programming and you will grow stronger and reach any fitness goal you have through the programming at CTown. Anything you are not yet able to do can be scaled to something you can do. Just come in with an open mind, a willingness to try anything, and ready to put your mind and body to the test and you will do well at CTown. \n\nThe members at CTown are very friendly and supportive. They will stick with you, help you, and support you while you are struggling. My weakness is running, and I remember two instances where members, who were already done with the WOD, came out and ran my last run/few runs with me and stuck with me, pushing me and cheering me on until I finished. I was also at my first competition and a few members from the gym, all of whom I didn't really know, stayed after they were already done and cheered me on. They helped me set many personal records that day. Those are things I will never forget. \n\nCTown's downtown flats facility is very nice and hi-tech. It is very large and the area is safe, considering it is the Flats. I would leave my windows down while I was at the gym and feel comfortable doing so. The only concern I had about the downtown flats location was how I was going to get there in the winter, as all of the ways I knew to get there had hills, and with Cleveland's winters, I was afraid that I would get stuck somewhere. The only solution that I thought of was to park on the viaduct and walk to the gym. It's not a far or long walk. \n\nAll in all, CTown is a great gym. The things that I learned from Carl, Larry, Michelle, Kenny, Danny, and Mike I have taken with me to my new gym and have been given a great foundation to succeed at CrossFit. I tell all my friends to go here or to my new gym, because they are the best. \n\nJust a few tips for any newcomers to CTown: Don't be negative; don't ever say can't; leave your baggage at the door; come in for a great workout; and most importantly, have fun! You are walking into a great gym that embodies fitness and community and you will succeed and have a great experience if you follow those tips. \n\nHappy WODing!"^^ . "2014-09-07T00:00:00"^^ .
