"2017-01-19T00:00:00"^^ . "I don't know how to rate the RESO properly. It's convenient, obviously; pretty cool, generally; but disjointed, oddly.\n\nMost people talk about how great it is to do shopping of all kinds in the RESO. This is correct, except that, as a few have pointed out, the Montreal RESO is not fully connected. And I'll add that not all the shopping is great. \n\nSo you can easily get from one section of the RESO to another via the metro, but you cannot walk the entire RESO uninterrupted, since it's broken up in various areas. The result is that some RESOs are more convenient for transportation and food (the Place Bonaventure RESO has lots of food options and access to the Gare Central, train access to other areas of Montreal outside of the metro), some have excellent shopping (Rene Levesque RESO is a huge mall area that has a very extensive underground), and others have access to convention centers and hum-drum shopping (Place de Armes RESO). \n\nLesson here is that you should explore the different RESOs and think of them as separate neighborhoods in a sense. My favorite RESO is the Rene Levesque because it's huge and has lots of fun shopping.\n\nWhen it's super cold, as is not uncommon, you'll end up here anyway, so make the best of it!"^^ . "0"^^ . .
