I'm lactose intolerant and really should eliminate dairy, but I cannot help my love for cheese and ice cream.  And what's ice cream without the cream?\n\nWe came late on a Sunday night and although it was a little after 9pm, the store was still opened and we were greeted with a friendly warm welcome.  The server/owner was patient with us and even provided us with some ice cream samples as we had a difficult time deciding on what to order.\n\nI ended up with the espresso ice cream sammie served with crownies (brownie-cookies).  I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do love coffee flavoured ice cream.  I'm also not a soft ice cream person, so when I saw that the server/owner was having a hard time scooping the ice cream, I thought, \"Yes, real thick, not mushy ice cream\".  \n\nAlthough, I was disappointed when I saw what was presented to me, but I was assured I have to wait a few minutes before I can squish the cookies together. My immediate reaction was I want my ice cream sandwich now, but now I have to wait.  It definitely was not what I had in mind, but for good ice cream I will wait.\n\nSince the server/owner was still cleaning up, she didn't mind that we sat on the bench inside to eat since it was raining outside.  I admit I didn't wait too long since I wanted to have my ice cream, so I tried to squish the top cookie down, but it cracked not crumble like a cookie would.  Guess that's what I get for end of the day not so fresh cookies. Thankfully, the ice cream was flavourful and rich in texture.  I can definitely taste the cream and can tell it was quality ingredients, plus had the consistency of real ice cream taste.\n\nI will probably give this place another try before it gets extremely busy like Bang Bang."^^<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string> .
