The hotel itself is humongous, to the point that there are 4 entrances (including Yonge, Bay, and Gerrard Streets) and color-coded elevators. \n\nUpon reading the Yelp reviews prior to my stay, and unfortunately after booking a non-refundable stay, I was extremely nervous about the condition of the hotel. I will say, the room that I was given was in OK condition - though I agree that the hotel as a whole is pretty outdated. The bathtub could have definitely been cleaner as well. Walls are thin - you will hear the traffic and activities of the busy streets below.\n\nRoom service was very prompt and not *too* overpriced, though my boyfriend and I stuck to ordering breakfast only such as fruit, egg muffins, and coffee.\n\nOn the bright side, the hotel's location was very ideal. Short walk away from many food options and the Eaton Centre mall, as well as other downtown Toronto attractions. We were only a 30 minute cab ride from the Pearson airport and 15 minutes from the CN Tower. We even had a nice view of the tower from our hotel room on the 21st floor. \n\nThe main reason why I am giving the Eaton Chelsea 2.5 stars is due to the customer service, or lack thereof. The lobby moves at a snail's pace - even when I tried to check-in at midnight with 2 patrons in front of me, it took nearly half an hour. Almost all questions asked are not answered with direct responses, but long drawn out explanations that danced around the actual answer. \n\nAlso, wi-fi is non-existent here, so if you're expecting to stream a movie or even connect to check your e-mail... good luck with that. \n\nProbably would not stay here again and hesitate to recommend."^^ . .
