Just moving to PGH and having nothing but horrid service and uninspiring food, I was so glad we had an amazing experience. \n\nHostess with the most was very attentive and uber sweet over the phone. Thank you for greeting us in a friendly and attentive manner!!\n\n Our server was very knowledgeable and eager to up sell wine, which I appreciated since I am in the wine industry (Not PGH's wine industry). I had my grand bubbles with our extremely succulent scallops. I have been eating scallops for years from coast to coast, but these were something special. I couldn't even tell I had them in my mouth because they were just melting away.... Wonderful! \n\nOur chicken with popcorn sauce.... eh, could have went without. I think the creativity was there, but the pop from the popcorn was a let down. \n\nWe sat upstairs in the two top corner which was fine. Not a big fan of getting up each time to look at the wine menu so I can pair my wine with the courses we had. Also, EVERYONE seemed like they were staring at us since we were next to the menu in the corner. \n\nConsidering we had \"which i think\" the worst table in the house... we still had a hoot and a half! \n\nAnd for that... we thank EVERYONE at Salt for making my partner and I believe there is a reputable dining scene in the burgh!\n\nWe will be back!\n\nPS ... Thank you kitchen for being quiet .. but brilliant! Snaps for you :D"^^ . . "2011-08-19T00:00:00"^^ . "5"^^ .
