"We all have had experiences and stories to recount when looking to buy a car. My wife and I have been looking at the new Ford Escape for weeks and quite frankly we spent a considerable amount of time on the Internet to buy one out of state or through one of the sites like kbb.com or edmunds.com.\n\nAmazingly, a young woman at one of the Frank Lloyd Wright rd. Dealers had quit and went back to school and when I asked her for input she said to call her ol Manager, Rob Hubler, from her Honda days as he was now at Peoria Ford.\n\nI called ahead and explained to Rob my trepidations, yet did want to swing by. Told him what I wanted and he offered to have it up front for my visit.\n\nRob met me up front and quickly intro'd me to one of his young protege's Eric Wojtcuk.\n\nI really was not enthused about being passed off, yet this is how Dealers roll.\n\nEric, being the fresh upstart, quickly began with showing me the cooler and unique features of the Escape which I did appreciate knowing my bandwidth for some of these items was limited.\n\nMoreover, Peoria's inventory is vast as Eric ended up scrambling for over an hour showing varying iterations of the Escape; each time running around the Lot to even find these.\n\nSo cutting to the chase, we began the process of homing in on the Escape and the whole pricing game.\n\nThis went pretty smooth, yet we could not agree and I decided to leave and they were gracious knowing I am a bit sensitized to the dealer pressure tactics.\n\nWhile driving away, Rob called me and said not to go too far as he believed he found some room to work this out.\n\nEventually I circled back and we went to make a deal. Yet they hit a snafu and I left once more.\n\nEric called me back and said to stay nearby as he was doing what he could as he had erred in some communication to Management on my communication to him.\n\nAnd here lies the point, Eric was a stand up guy, Rob stood up too and compensated for their error.\n\nPat Hickey, the VERY COOL, PRESIDENT of Peoria Ford and who is on the floor frequently while being hands on also assisted.\n\nIn the late afternoon I swung back by (3rd time same day) and they made good on their error and today I am in a very cool new Titanium Ford Escape.\n\nSo the takeaway here is that these people are honorable, fair and not out of control.\n\nWas this a completely pleasant experience, \"No\". Yet buying a car has its trauma and if you do not get that, stay out of the Showroom!!!\n\nSo with their great inventory and people like Pat and Rob, there is hope for this Industry.\n\nMoreover, Eric Wojtcuk, the young associate is full of genuine emotional intelligence and will be very successful in whatever endeavors he pursues.\n\nI highly suggest you contact Eric personally to see for yourself. Great young man!!!!"^^ . "0"^^ . "4"^^ . "2013-11-09T00:00:00"^^ . . "0"^^ . . "0"^^ . .
