I've come into the store several times now and the sales people are helpful, friendly, and know the products fairly well. Sometimes they're busy helping other customers, but that's expected; there are a couple of recliners close to the checkout desk to sit in.\n\nThere are a variety of lighting styles, but it is a little lacking on the contemporary lighting (sometimes incorrectly referred to as \"modern\"), although not completely absent.\n\nI recently purchased a lamp/chandelier for installation and took the day off to be present for the install. However, long story short, I called the store an hour past the scheduled arrival time and we connected with their scheduling department, only to find out that the contract was never sent to scheduling. Also, the salesperson originally specifically requested an independent contractor that they sometimes use, telling me that he was the best they had. When he arrived, he was unfriendly, huffy and puffy (my guess is he was upset that he had to come over on short notice), and he claimed to never have done this type of installation before. After some discussion it was clear that he did not want to be there and did not want to really do the job or didn't feel comfortable doing it, saying \"maybe I'm not the best man for the job\", and I told him to leave. Upset, I contacted the store manager (Kammy) who was very professional and handled the situation well, asking me if I would give her a chance to resolve the problem and talk to the installation manager for me. I'm glad I considered it because I later received a call from the installation manager offering me a partial refund (greater than 50% off) on my original installation price, if I was willing to reschedule with another technician they were confident could complete the job.\n\nI'm looking forward to having my new lamp installed and am also purchasing another contemporary style ceiling fan at Lamps Plus for installation.\n\nNotably, I have a friend that did a complete remodel using Lamps Plus, but used her own electrician, and was happy with all of the lighting."^^ . .
