The salon is cute with a retro theme, and may have been better prepared if we'd set appointments. I hate to leave a negative review, but the manicures we received at this salon were sad. Walked in with three friends at 3:45pm, and requested gel manicures. The only employee present was a hair stylist, so we agreed to spend 45 minutes over at Hula's Tiki Bar waiting for a nail tech to arrive. Their \"gel manicure\" is a regular manicure with non-gel polishes, finished with a few minutes baking under an LED lamp. Unfortunately that is not how gel polish works, and an LED lamp will do nothing to cure regular polish. My tech was brand new to the salon, very clearly inexperienced, and did not know the order of service for a manicure (what tools or polish to use, when to massage/scrub/file/cut cuticles/etc.) Recognizing this, I opted instead for an easy polish change, which she completed messily. The other tech was more knowledgeable, but she claimed OPI Infinite Shine worked as a gel top coat (it doesn't). Our male friend received a pedicure and agreed it was sub-par. Again, all services were discounted because the day was \"a learning experience\" for the new girl, but dang. \nThey seemed much more prepared for hair services."^^ . "1"^^ . "2"^^ . "1"^^ . . .
