The waits can be long which does get frustrating but it happens. \n\nToday I had a 9:30 appt. I didn't see anyone until after 11am. While I understand that it is frustrating when you have a tired child who doesn't feel well waiting in a small room. Brittany came in and did his well check as well and confirming he most likely did have roseola. His temp was 99.7 when I first arrived. All weekend it had been going up and down. I was told it was safe to vaccinate him. He felt warm so I checked his temp. 101.5 so I got him dressed to leave. I spoke to the nurses about it and I was told \"his shots are already ready to go but ok.\" I said that's fine he can have them but can I just verify that's a safe temperature and he can still get them? They took his temp 101.8. Brittany told me he was fine to still he vaccinated so I allowed them to give him his shots. I even apologized to the nurse and said I wasn't trying to be a pain I just wanted to make sure he was okay to get them. \n\n\nUpon dressing my son to leave I can clearly hear them talking about me. Doctors at the office are great. Nurses can maybe learn to be more understanding. I'm a first time mom and this was my sons first fever. I had even looked up the CDC guidelines for vaccinating with a fever before I asked if they were sure it was safe."^^ . "1"^^ . "4"^^ .
