"I put my review on hold until I actually met with all of their trainers so that I could properly inform you all of this awesome kickass gym. \n\nI first heard about this gym because I visited Target often in the shopping complex on Flamingo/Fort Apache; I would see people working out but while it piqued my interest, I was currently finishing up a Groupon with a hot yoga studio (I hated it. Absolutely hated it. I cannot deal with the 104\u00B0 temperature rooms!) so I couldn't find the time to thoroughly check this place out. They do have 2 other locations elsewhere but this review is solely for the Flamingo/Fort Apache location.\n\nAfter I quit my hot yoga Groupon, I was searching for the next gym to try out. I am definitely not one to commit to gym memberships but let me tell you, after one class here, I was hooked. I signed up for their 12 month membership! I found a deal on Groupon: 10 classes for $50 plus a free pair of gloves and so after speaking with my coworker, we both decided it give it a shot. She and I both train service dogs for a living and are constantly with a service dog; we didn't want to bombard the business with two service dogs and although protected by federal law, we still wanted to be courteous enough to warn them and let them know we had two dogs with us and they were super stoked and didn't mind at all! \n\nDay 1 was tough. We had to arrive 15 minutes early so that Candace, one of the trainers and I believe, manager of this location???, went over our goals, what we wanted to work on, etc to really get to know us. She handed us our free gloves, wrote our names on them, and we went to work! Beginning of class starts with laps around the bags and a 15 minute warm up that is never the same every day. You could be doing burpees (they LOVE burpees *cries*) and then frog squats, then push ups to planks today and then tomorrow jump squats to walking push ups, to high knees. It's something new everyday. \n\nAfter warmups, we did stretches & then there are 6 rounds of different things we work on. Jabs & crosses over and over, kicks, hooks, upper cuts, etc. On day 1 Candace stayed with us to show us alternative ways to do things until we were strong enough to do them properly. After all 6 rounds, I was drenched in sweat. I promise you. YOU. WILL. SWEAT. BUCKETS. Be sure to bring water & a towel! If you don't have water, you can check in on Facebook with their hashtag of the week & get a free bottle of water per class.\n\nThey have a convenient little sanitary station with wipes & sanitize to clean your hands or wipe down your bags if you're iffy about the people that used the bag before you. They have a little cubby for your bags or locker rooms for your items if there's no space. You don't need to put a lock on it, Candace assured us there are no thieves among them and I, having been a member for 3 weeks now, have yet to come across missing belongings.\n\nAt first I was hesitant for this class because I took a kickboxing class once before and felt insecure, worried that I would be so weak and everyone around me was a pro. I was worried that I wouldn't be able I keep up. But the trainers here, Candace, Sierra, Sunny, Tommy, & JJ are all awesome! They push you to keep going, they call you out when you miss a class, they help you if you need it, and they never let you feel any type of insecurities because they're always cheering you on. This is exactly what I've been looking for and probably the reason why I could never commit to a gym. Until now.\n\nSo give it a shot! See if this is something that suits you; push yourself, exceed your limits! I would most definitely recommend this to others :) let me know what you thought about it too! Maybe I'll see you in class :)"^^ . . "2016-02-12T00:00:00"^^ . "1"^^ . . .
