. "My fianc\u00E9e and I were very excited to try this place after reading many glowing reviews from a number of different sources. We made it for their happy hour which I had heard was outstanding. \n\nOur first impression was that the restaurant was very swanky. We felt underdressed when we first walked in, we had just come from the Scottsdale mall on a Sunday and were dressed more for comfort in the Phoenix summer heat. We were seated immediately. \n\nI wanted to take advantage of the barrel-aged cocktails that were on happy hour (for a very good price). I could not decide, so our server brought a sample of two of them which helped me decide. I ended up getting the Instant Gratification which is a semi-sweet drink made of scotch, cognac, and grand marnier I think. We ordered the Kiltlifter fondue next which neither of us were crazy about. I'm not sure if it was the cheese or the beer, but something made it bitter.\n\nFor our entrees I got the meatloaf and she got the cubano. We were both very pleased with our meals, however she did not like the meatloaf saying it was too dry and not very flavorful. \n\nAll in all it was a decent place with good cocktails and average food. We were disappointed mainly because we had such high hopes from all of the reviews. We will return for happy hour when we feel like a craft cocktail, but will probably get dinner elsewhere."^^ .
