. "Prolouge: Maybe I'm jaded because I actually liked going to Copps across the street. It wasn't my favorite grocery store in Madison, but it was decent and easy to find things. Due to a commuting situation and needing to use the bus, I am sort of stuck with Hyvee. It's a pain that it's a longer walk from the bus stop, but oh well. It is what it is.\n\nMy actually review: I have serious mixed feelings about Hyvee. So we'll go with a classic pro/con list.\n\nPros\n-I like their \"restaurant/buffet\" concept, even though I have only tried it once. Food was decent, and this type of thing is great for the lunch crowd. \n-Bakery is decent. Not thrilling, but taste and selection is pretty good for grocery store breads and pastries.\n-Good selection for fancy cheese, meats, antipasto picnic fare\n-Cleanliness\n-Coupons in the Bucky Book\n-They have hatch chili peppers when in season\n-They employ people with disabilities and seem to promote them and treat them well\n-Nice selection of bulk grains/granolas\n-Meat department decent quality\n-Samples are fun!\n\nCons\n-Non-organic lettuce selection is sad. Not many choices and little of each kind. Often not the freshest looking. \n-Produce arrangement with so many \"tables\" makes it hard to find things, and produce sales seem almost non-existent.\n-What.is.with.the.layout of the store? Hard to find things and it doesn't flow great. I'm about 15 trips in, and I still get frustrated.\n-Thin crust take and bake pizza steams in their foil pan. \n-Prices for things that aren't on sale seem high.\n-Selection for some things really weirdly small, other things expansive\n-Need more checkout lanes open. It's been at least three people deep every time I've gone, and it doesn't move fast."^^ . . "0"^^ . "2017-12-08T00:00:00"^^ . "3"^^ . "2"^^ . . "0"^^ .
