"I started out with an estimate where I listed all of my items as far as I knew and the estimate didn't include some of the ones I had described in the phone call. It turned out to be 200 more when the movers got there and saw the stuff that wasn't on the estimate. I can look over this, because when I received the estimate email I should have taken the responsibility to look over the list and see that it was complete... so let's move on to what I wasn't happy about.\n\nThe movers smoked right outside my apartment, so when they came in, they smelled like smoke and made some of my items and the house smell like it a bit as well. This in itself is very unprofessional. They took apart my bed and when they were beginning, I told them that I had taken apart that bed before and it was difficult to remember how everything goes, so they should mark it. They shrugged it off, telling me that they were confident they could put it all together. (remember this for later on in the story)\n\nOn the day they were scheduled to arrive, they called and said they would be there before 6pm. So I left my new job early, risking looking unprofessional, to get home to handle it. They then called and said they would be a bit late after I had gotten home. Then they didn't show up and stopped answering their phone...\n\nOn the second day, they called again and said they would be there around 5:30 so I should be home. Again I left work early, and again had to say it was for moving (so I was made to look unprofessional again) and they called me around 5:20 saying they'd be later (so I didn't have to leave early... but of course it was too late to go back) and again they didn't arrive that night and stopped answering calls.\n\nThe third night, they arrived kind of late (around 8pm) and began moving things in. They had no change for the second half of the price (which has to be in cash, in person on delivery) so I ended up basically tipping them the extra money since I didn't have change for a $20. The people that showed up weren't the same people that loaded the stuff from my old place. They moved things in but had no idea how to put my bed together, and I had to help them, but even I didn't know because I would have marked it but they told me they were fully capable of remembering, then they sent different people up with it! They ended up giving up around 10pm, so they didn't put together my bed or desk (the only things that needed putting together other than a single table)... which would be fine if I had gotten some of the price back since I paid them to put the things together. I ended up staying up with my new roommate until around midnight putting everything together because of this company's incompetence.\n\nI can not imagine using their services again in the future. Why, oh why didn't I check Yelp first?"^^ .
