I've been to Paulette's twice since they've opened and enjoyed each visit. \n\nPrices - for Toronto - are completely reasonable to me. As someone who works in the downtown core, it's not uncommon to pay $10-12 dollars for food court faire. I am certainly not balking at paying $9 for two pieces of fried chicken and 4 doughnut dots. \n\nI found the chicken to be beautifully crispy on the outside and super moist on the inside. The two pieces I got were a good size, and for what they call the \"snack size\" proved to be a perfect sized lunch. A previous reviewer gave the chicken a bad review because she felt it tasted \"healthy\", but I loved the taste of it. Subtle at first, very crunchy, and with the dipping sauce (maple chilli) it tasted really bright and bold. \n\nThe little doughnut dots were gorgeous. The sugar mix on them was a welcomed change from the typical timbit. After I was finished I wanted more of them. \n\nI've tried two different doughnuts from Paulette's. The first was the D'Oreo which I would gladly eat over and over again, despite a growing waist line. The second was the Blueberry Balsamic, which was tangy and sweet. \n\nThe staff is incredibly friendly (and adorable). The ambiance of the shop is cute, and although they don't have seating for a sit-down lunch, Leslieville is chock-full of little coves and parks to sit in. \n\nI'm a fan! I think I'll go grab lunch there right now! :)"^^ .
