"I am writing this review to spread awareness about a corrupt company in the hopes that this review will prevent other potential customers/patients from being scammed like I almost was.\n\nI came to this dentist office after another member of my family went for a cleaning and x-rays. They are in walking distance of my house and I figured that for only $39, I might as well go ahead and get a cleaning and checkup. I am in my early 20's and take good care of my teeth. I figured all they would tell me was that I need to floss more and possibly remove my wisdom teeth. \n\nAfter arriving and waiting in the chair to be seen by a hygienist, she finally comes in and exams my gums. She started yelling out numbers 2-5, and just kept yelling 3,4,5,4,3,5,4,5 etc... I didn't understand what this meant until later. The numbers are a scale of how healthy your gums are, 2 being healthy and 5 being unhealthy. She told me that I was on the verge of having gum disease and that I would need to come in for a \"deep cleaning\" right away to prevent from getting gingivitis or a disease. At this point I was very confused... I knew that I hadn't been to a dentist in 2 years, due to a change in dental insurance, but I am a young adult that brushes and takes care of my teeth, my mouth feels fine and looks normal to me... \n\nAfter she left and gave me that heartwarming news, the dentist came in and told me that I needed to consult about braces, which I already knew, and he then began to go on about how my gums are so unhealthy and I need this deep cleaning that everyone was talking about. I personally, have never heard of a deep cleaning before. Every time that I have ever been to a dentist, I just went and got my teeth cleaned like a normal person, and that was it. No one ever mentioned anything about a \"deep\" cleaning... After the doctor left, the lady from the front desk came into my room and started going over all of the work I needed to get done and how much everything was going to cost. She hands me an invoice for over $2,000.00 worth of dental work that they claimed I needed!!! $700 for a deep cleaning and over $2,000.00 for wisdom tooth extractions. After she was done, she told me that I could go ahead and go to the front and check out. At this point, all I had was a consultation and no one cleaned my teeth! Which was the reason I was fucking there! To get x-rays and a cleaning for $39... When I asked her why I wasn't getting my teeth cleaned, she told me that I needed a deep cleaning so a regular cleaning would not even help me at all, and it served no point!\n\nThe next day I called another dentist to get a second opinion. I had this really nasty feeling that these people were full of shit and lying about all of this work my teeth needed. I went to the new office the next day and they told me that my gums were completely healthy and my teeth were great, with the exception of the wisdom teeth that I do need to remove!! I didn't even have one cavity! That other office lied to me about all of this dental work just to make money off of me! I told my family member who went to them before I did, and they told him that he too needed a deep cleaning and 2 root canals! He then went to this other dentist and they told him that his mouth was beautifully healthy as well and needed no work!! In fact, a co-worker of mine went there too and they told her that she need a deep cleaning as well... Ironic.. Lots of deep cleanings?? What are the odds?? \n\n7th Street and Bell Dental Group is a complete scam!! They try and give you a false diagnosis to get you to pay thousands of dollars more in dental work! Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these people. The website makes them seem legit, but they are the most corrupt medical office I have ever seen!"^^ . "14"^^ . "3"^^ . .
