"I consider myself to be a very patient and understanding tenant, but when I arrive from out of town with a U-haul and a group of people to help me move in, I expect everything to go seamlessly. That was not the case. SV had just changed management a week after we filled out applications and the old management left them little to no information about our move in and they lost some files in the transition. \n\nLong story short they had noted the wrong move in date and when we showed up our anticipated unit was no where near move-in ready. They were able to find us another upgraded top floor unit that was slightly more ready, so we moved there instead. This new unit had no cabinet covers, hot water, or appliances. Luckily they were able to be installed the following Monday (which took 8 hours while I was trying to unpack). The move in day was stress-filled and unorganized but the new staff was very apologetic and offered us concessions as well as support in the following weeks. We had several maintenance issues and our requests were always fulfilled within two days. The staff was attentive and communicative in the weeks following the disastrous move in. They also have had some nice community perks (food trucks, contests, etc.) \n\nThat aside, the gym is PERFECT (small, but has all the essentials) and the clubhouse is AMAZING (comfortable, well designed, spacious). There is no fee for residents to utilize the clubhouse, unless you want to reserve it for an event or party. My unit is a two bedroom/two bathroom and it is plenty of space for the three people who reside. I was also surprised with how nice and big my patio is. The upgrades in the premium unit are great: stainless steel appliances, nice \"hardwood\" flooring, gray cabinets, etc. Very modern. I also love that this is a gated community and I have a double lock on my door. I always feel very safe. My one and only complaint with the unit is the lack of storage space. Aside from walk in closets in each room there is only ONE coat closet for storage. They offer garages for rent but I don't want to pay $90 a month to store my luggage and holiday decorations. I also wish there was some sort of pantry - all my food is in the kitchen cabinets. Luckily there is a tiny laundry room as opposed to just a closet so I could install additional shelving and storage. \n\nAnother bummer is being able to hear every word someone says outside when I'm in my room. The walls and windows are very thin and there is really nothing I can do for the noise. Also parking is a JOKE. I am shocked that a 2 bedroom unit that houses three drivers is only allowed ONE assigned parking spot with no opportunity to purchase an additional spot. There aren't many uncovered spaces near my unit so it's extremely inconvenient for all of us. \n\nTL;DR move-in was a bitch but I have been pretty happy with living here in the last 3 months. I feel very safe and I love my apartment and the community amenities. So far, this is the best complex I've ever lived in."^^ . "0"^^ .
