I haven't put a lot of miles on it, so it doesn't need service that often. I brought it in for oil changes, and once for several small issues. After the oil change the oil was leaking. It was a very small leak, but a leak nonetheless. Again, when I brought it in the service department kind of gave me attitude about my bringing it back for such a small thing. The other issues I brought it in for were: a rattling noise from the roof that was so loud that I couldn't hear my music, the center light going out, and the emergency brake light going on and off for no apparent reason while I drive.\nWell, they fixed the rattling noise by basically adding Styrofoam to the latch that held the convertible roof down. They told me that I had somehow allowed water into the center light and that's why it was out and replaced it, and they said they weren't going to look at the e-brake problem. Totally blew it off.\nI went ahead and continued to drive the car. FOR A YEAR with the brake light coming on and off. The center light went out again almost right away and I knew I didn't let water in so I was used to this kind of minor annoyance.\nIt turns out I was LOW ON BRAKE FLUID. I've never been low on brake fluid before so I didn't know it was the same light as the e-brake. So I may have reported the problem incorrectly. That being said, in the service record, it reported that they checked and topped off fluids. Now it's been a year since I brought it in but I hardly need to do maintenance on it. I had the oil changed once somewhere else. It was a friend who mentioned that I might be low on brake fluid when we were talking about my car and when I popped the hood I realized that I had hardly any left!! Did I mentioned I've been driving around for a year like that??\nI'm beside myself. I can't believe they did this. Of course they are saying that I never mentioned the brake light was coming on and off but regardless they supposedly topped the fluids! They should have noticed it. Again they are going to claim that since I haven't brought it in for a year it happened sometime during that time.\nI have told them over the phone that I will be bringing it in Friday. I told them I have to buy brake fluid before I feel comfortable driving it but I will bring the receipt and I expect them to fix the brakes ON THEIR DIME. \nI should mention that this is the second Mazda I have had a problem with. The first one, a 2007 Mazda 3 had a transmission problem. I bought it used from CarMax however instead of from the dealership like I did this time. But it was the same deal. The dealership (Montgomery Mazda) ignored me saying that I thought something was wrong with the transmission until it was at 61,000 miles. It was at 1000 miles over the transmission warranty when they told me I had to replace it. Unbelievable."^^ . "0"^^ .
