They started off by lying about the contract length, they told me since I was buying through Direct Buy that the standard 5 year contract would be 3 years for me. The system has never worked properly for more than a few months. The video didn't work for several months. Then my door lock stopped working. They said it was batteries but I changed it out with 2 brand new sets. I don't even know why they have a tech support system, I have called multiple times about the two smoke detectors that don't work. They haven't worked in over a year I have just gotten tired of calling in, for them to tell me it works and within days it doesn't work again. I've asked them multiple time to cancel my contract since they can't uphold their half of the agreement which is actually monitoring my house since the system doesn't work to begin with. Somehow, through pure fucking magic my alarm password was changed, not the 4 digit code, the verbal password you have to give to cancel an alarm. How does that happen? There was also a few week stretch where the alarm would go off because we opened the back door and no one would come over the alarm system to make sure we needed to cancel the alarm. We had ADT before and never had issues.\n\nBy the way, Direct Buy dropped them pretty quick and being a member I know the only way that happens is if the Direct Buy branch gets complaints about a vendor, go figure.\n\nIf I could afford to pay their cancellation fee I'd have this garbage taken out immediately.
