I went in last week for a basic pedicure for $28.00. \nUsually I expect the basics: a warm/hot foot bath, feet soaked sufficiently so my heels can be scrapped and my cuticles/side of nails 'groomed' (the usual). \nThe water bath was very lukewarm, I didn't have time to soak my feet enough so they could be properly scrapped (it's summer!) and my nails weren't properly done. Never at a salon of this kind have I not had these basic things done! I'm not a complainer either. \nI asked politely if she could do my heels better but it was still not sufficient. I was thinking, well what other options do I have to fix some callused heels!? I'm at a salon to get a pedicure because my heels need to be done! \nWas I just paying $28 for a foot massage and a paint job? \nAfter drying my toes under the dryer for 10 mins., the lady wrapped them in saran wrap (I wore shoes - bad move on my part) but the paint was still tacky apparently and all of my toes smudged. I had to return an hour later to get them re-painted - what a drag!\nUpon returning, I asked if they could do a better job on my feet on top of reapplying polish and the manager said that it would be an extra $5.00...so I paid it (frustrated and helpless) and they improved the heel job and repainted them. \nWhat a bad experience for such a basic and common procedure!"^^ . . .
