Unfortunately I wasn't quite into \"Yelping\" as much back in December when I went there. \n\nAnyway, I went in with my coworkers - we were a group of six - and we only waited about five minutes to be seated. My coworker and I split the made-to-order beignets with seasonal jam & vanilla-scented mascarpone ($8). Anyone who knows me knows that I am usually against mixing fruit with food (yogurt parfaits, orange-infused anything, etc.) - the only thing I usually like is toast with jam. So honestly I was a bit worried about this because it was topped with berries, but I devoured it haha. The beignets were definitely made to order; fresh, fluffy, and cooked just right. The mascarpone wasn't too sweet or too thick. It had the texture of slightly melted jelly.\n\nAs an entree I ordered the Shrimp Po-Boy (sauteed shrimp, shredded napa cabbage, seasonal winter veggies & Tabasco mayo on ciabatta - $13). It had a good amount of spice on it though I could've handled more. The shrimp was fresh, the cabbage was perfect, and I usually do not like sweet pickles but they worked on this sandwich. All sandwiches are served with chips or potato salad, with a pickle. I opted for the chips and they were some of the best I've had. They had the flakiness and crispness of a lay's chip, except cooked better and minus all the greasiness. \n\nSo, all together we ordered three \"appetizers,\" six entrees, two coffees and a tea for a total of $112. That's not bad considering it's only $20/person. We got less at Carson's Kitchen yet spent more.\n\nI will definitely be returning here. The staff was also very attentive and quick. I'm looking forward to my next trip here!"^^ .
