"Based on my experience after living here for a year...\n\nPros:\n\nSpacious\nWasher/dryer in unit\nClose to the strip\n\nCons:\n\nWashing machine flooded the unit first night there because the hose wasn't connected. Extremely loud carpet fans ran 24-hours a day for an entire week. No sympathy from management.\n\nCheap carpeting. Unit smells like mold and trash during the winter when windows are kept shut.\n\nPaint sprayed into heat/air vents. Had major health problems over the past year. Management stated vents are never cleaned.\n\nNumerous apartment and car burglaries. The unit downstairs, occupied by an elderly woman, was broke into during the day. Management would not allow her to move out a month before lease was up. Two recent break-ins happened while tenants were briefly out of the units.\n\nSlow turnaround when repairs needed. A water pipe was leaking in the grass patch outside and eventually started to smell and attract insects. Notified management countless times that the water was a risk to children and pets. No action was taken. After nearly a month I took photos and emailed them to Olen Properties of Nevada with the same warnings. Two hours later it was being worked on. Additional example is that it took a month to get a light bulb replaced outside that lit the stairs to the unit. \n\nRevolving door of management/leasing office employees (you have to deal with new people ALL THE TIME). \n\nVacant units all around. Had to clean the entrances to the surrounding units myself (restaurant menus, ads, etc.). \n\nOven was defective and would heat the entire apartment like a furnace. Called management and they replaced it with another old one. After fearing a leak I called the gas company and they urged me to vacate the premises to avoid poisoning. The rep came and took readings around the apartment, eventually getting to the oven. He immediately disconnected the gas line and deemed it unsafe with a meter reading so high that he claimed had a turkey been cooked for Thanksgiving the kitchen probably would've exploded.\n\nWith health issues continuing to affect my day-to-day, I called a company to come out to clean the heating and air ducts. Knowing how long it takes for management to get things done, my fear was that they would use a company of their choosing who would do a shoddy job and I would continue to feel bad for the remainder of winter while the heat was being used. Using Yelp, I found a well-reviewed HVAC cleaning company called Legacy Air that came out and thoroughly cleaned all the vents and the air intake for $190. The next day I went into the leasing office with both the gas company report and the HVAC bill to discuss the oven and reimbursement for the cleaning. Unsurprisingly, there was new staff (including a \"regional manager\") and they were not at all concerned about the oven and unwilling to even discuss the HVAC bill. Their response was that it needed to be done by the company they use and that I was stuck with the bill. The best part of our conversation was the condescending tone the regional manager used when talking down to me. It was that sort of \"how could you be so stupid to think WE would pay that bill\" kind of tone.\n\nBOTTOM LINE = Look elsewhere for a rental.
