"When I lived in Ballantyne, I'd end up at Rush as often as possible - steering potential coffee meetings to a place other than the giant green-themed chain. Enter Rush.\n\nOccupying the former Dilworth Coffee location in Ballantyne Village, it's got virtually nothing in common with its predecessor. The space is modern and fairly austere in its appointment. There's a ton of outdoor seating as well.\n\nAs for the coffee, they recently switched to Lavazzo, which is fine by me. I wasn't particularly attached to Illy, their original supplier.\n\nThe menu is large, offering a wide selection of brewed coffee, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, etc. Delectable offerings line the pastry case, and breakfast/lunch sandwiches are available to order.\n\nIt has more of a caf\u00E9 feeling rather than a coffee shop, which I rather enjoy. \n\nThe owner is friendly and always goes out of his way to greet customers. Pretty much all the employees are overtly affable. A nice touch.\n\nThe usual lovelies: free wifi, no withering glances designed to make you leave your chair after hanging out and working for an hour or two, gender-specific bathrooms, indie music playing...\n\nPrices aren't especially low, but I don't mind. It's worth it, to me. I just wish I lived closer and could frequent this south Charlotte gem more often."^^ . "2"^^ . . "4"^^ . "2013-06-20T00:00:00"^^ . "4"^^ . . "2"^^ . .
