"I backed into a concrete pillar and had mild damage to my car. After hearing this was home of the \"waive your deductible\" I was happy to bring my car in for an estimate. Luckily, they were able to get me in the same day. After a quick look, Carl wrote up a quote (roughly $2500) and said it would be a 4-5 day job. I sent photos to my insurance claims adjuster along with the quote and it was approved. When I called back to make an appointment, they couldn't fit me in for 10 days. This was strike 1, any other body shop in the past has been able to take my car within days. I agreed since the estimate was accepted and they were waiving my deductible. It wasn't until I brought my car in at the scheduled date and time where I learned they only waive 8% of the total cost of repairs towards your deductible. Based on my damage, that would only be $200. Since I had already waited 10 days and was there I approved and left my car there. I called to check the status after 4 days. I was told I'd get a call back when Carl was available. Didn't get a return call that day so I called again the following morning. I spoke with Carl who said they just took it apart yesterday and found additional damage. Whoa! On day 4 of a 4-5 day job they were just taking it apart?!? Needless to say they had a new estimate (about $3400) and within 24 hours received approval from my insurance. I gave it 5 days before calling them for another update and was told they had to order a part so it might be a few extra days. I gave it another week and checked back only to be told there is a part on backorder but it's a finishing part so they should be able to work on everything else and worry about that last. He said to give a couple weeks. I waited a few weeks and checked back (notice the trend, I never got a call, I always called them) and Carl was out sick. I spoke with another gentleman who said he needed to check with their parts department and even though it was 4:30pm he was there til 5:30 so he'd call me back. As expected I never heard from him. So I called again the following Monday. Was given some excuse, at this point I don't recall what, and needless to say it still wasn't ready. I called a week later and was told everything was ready, it would be painted and reassembled within the next day or 2 and \"might be\" ready Friday. Friday came and went and no call from them. I called the following Wednesday and was told the same thing I had the week before- that it was being painted and hopefully ready Friday. Amazingly, Carl called me Thursday and said it would be ready as promised on Friday. At this point, 7 weeks and 2 days passed. My rental coverage from my insurance had lapsed 3 weeks prior. The ONLY good part about this and the ONLY reason they get any stars at all is because they did take over and pay $25/day for my rental. And, with the increased cost of repair, my entire deductible was waived ($250 deductible). I had upgraded my rental to a small SUV similar to my car they were repairing, knowing I was paying the difference out of pocket however assuming it would be 1, maybe 2 weeks. But after 7 weeks and 2 days I still paid nearly $300 in rental fees because of their delays. There is no reason, even with ordering parts, that a job this small should have taken this long. There is no reason that Carl can't return calls or call back when he said he would. There is no reason why they couldn't keep me updated as to the status, so I wouldn't have to call to check myself. So far the work looks good so I'm hoping their work is better than their service. Regardless, don't always believe what you hear on the radio I'm never giving them my business again."^^ . "0"^^ .
