"I was very excited to take my children to Jungle Roots on the recommendation of a friend of mine who is a dental hygienist. \n\nOur first visit with Dr. Culp I thought went well despite his push for us to meet with an orthodontist that his office supports. A month later I receive a bill for a foam treatment they did on my son without my consent that was not covered by my insurance. I notified the office and was told they would flag his account to notify the staff to ask me about any added action outside a normal cleaning and check-up. I honestly don't remember how we resolved the financial matter, I could have paid or they could have waived the fee, I just wanted the matter resolved.\n\nOur last visit (we stuck it out for 3 routine cleaning visits) went good. Again, still asking for us to get a consultation through this specific orthodontist but after giving a firm answer, Dr. Culp continued with the examination. One month later I get a bill in the mail for x-rays that were not covered by my insurance. I check with my insurance to make sure that everything settled but the added charge was final. I called Jungle Roots and was told the extra x-rays were to \"watch\" a spot that could become a cavity. I asked if the flag was still on the account because I was not notified about additional x-rays outside his annual ones. The \"billing department\" stated my account was still flagged but it was not the staffs responsibility to know what my insurance will and will not cover. I paid for the extra x-rays and gave a notice that we will not be returning.\n\nI gave Jungle Roots the opportunity to rectify the situation the first time but now I see a pattern of making flippant decisions with my money. This isn't personal, I will take my business elsewhere."^^ .
