I have massage therapy regularly and like to try out new places. \n\nIt was fairly easy to book a massage. I left a message and my call was returned in under an hour. The person I spoke to on the phone said they would send me a confirmation email which would include an online health history form, but they never sent it.\n\nThe clinic is located above a restaurant. It's a small space, looks like a converted apartment, with 3 small rooms at the front and an office/waiting room/sink area in the middle. It's very nicely decorated and clean. They had a lot of scented candles everywhere which could be a concern for sensitive people, but I thought it smelled nice. Maybe they have to cover up the food smells from the restaurant? ( I didn't smell any food!)\n\nI told the therapist sitting at the desk who I was and that I needed to fill out a form. He told me the form would just be a minute, to have a seat and offered me water. I felt kind of awkward sitting there waiting while therapists were going back and forth, wondering when someone would give me a form to fill out and trying to figure out which one was my therapist.. \n\nMy therapist registered me. I don't know her name because she didn't introduce herself. They have an online filing system, so I had to sit at their computer and fill in my health history form.\n\nMy therapist listened attentively to my complaints and did a thorough assessment. We agreed to do a full body massage with focus to my problem areas. \n\nThe massage was competent and although it did not fix my problem completely, I did feel some improvement the next day. Unfortunately, I found it very difficult to relax. For one thing the place was absolutely FREEZING cold, and I'm a middle aged woman who gets hot flashes! There was no blanket on the table, only a sheet. I told the therapist that I would need a blanket as I was quite chilly. She got me a blanket but didn't turn down the AC, which was blowing down on me from a vent in the ceiling. \n\nThe therapist was very knowledgeable and I have no complaints about her techniques. She just seemed somewhat distant. She didn't massage my feet or hands or head, which I'm used to having done during a full body treatment. She only massaged my gluts and front of my legs through the blanket. It was effective, but made me wonder why. After the treatment, she asked how I was feeling and told me the price. I paid and that was it. I was surprised she didn't follow up more, or give some stretches to do. It just felt very abrupt. \n\nI think this place would be good for athletic types with specific injuries, as they obviously know what they're doing, but it wasn't really my cup of tea. \n\nAfter tax, a one hour massage cost $93."^^ .
