The place has great ambiance and the people that work there seemed genuinely nice. \n\nSecond, coffee was amazing! I'm a bit of a coffee snob and chose this place over Matt's Big Breakfast based solely on the rave coffee reviews. Best $2 I ever spent on a cup of joe. It's pour-over quality coffee reminiscent of Blue Bottle Coffee Co. in San Francisco. \n\nThird, the food was pretty good. In our group of three we got the pancakes, potatoes and choice of meat, the savory crepes and the pain perdu. The pancakes, potatoes and sausage my friend got were average. I tried her potatoes which were my favorite part of her meal. The crepes were....interesting...but in a good way, like when you first try something and you're not sure you'll like it, so you keep eating, intrigued, and then you decide that this is really good though perhaps more like something you crave every once in a while than something you'd eat regularly....bit of stream of consciousness for you...the pain perdu was too much too sweet....it's a banana bread pudding topped with a sweet and salty, thick caramel sauce and fresh banana slices....you get two brownie-sized squares of it with a side of bacon....I hated that my crunchy bacon was covered in the caramel sauce....I enjoyed this meal because the bread is not sweet, but super sweetened by the caramel sauce...it's just too much for breakfast and would be better if they reduced the portion size of the bread pudding and added some eggs or potatoes....my tummy felt queezy after such a sweet meal...glad my friends shared their meals to portion mine out. \n\nThe menu's knid of limited, but I think it keeps the place original. I'd definitely recommend and maybe even return just to sit and sip their delicious coffee."^^ .
