"I opt for a manicure/pedicure at least once a month, and due to time constraints I opted to try Essential as it is close to where I live. \n\nThis is a \"cute\", clean and bright location - and there were plenty of staff available to provide service, however, the positives for me stop there. \n\nI needed one gel nail fixed, and wanted an overall fill (I was about 3 weeks into my current set). I was initially quoted $35. During the fill, was told for an \"extra\" $5, I could have \"a pretty pink gel\", of which I politely declined (up-selling). Then, the entire fill took 1.5 hours. Far too long compared to regular salons. \n\nFinally, I went to pay - and was told it would be $55. $6 dollars to fix the nail, and another extra charge for the white tips (which I already had previously). \n\nI'm a fan of transparency and don't appreciate price surprises, or slow service. The end product looked \"okay\", however, I've had much better for a cheaper, more efficient experience. \n\nI'll take my business elsewhere. Should you choose to go - be sure to pay upfront to avoid any secret charges."^^ . "0"^^ . "0"^^ .
