"1st 5 star review of mine!\n\nAtmosphere - a nice small bar restaurant with a veneer of style - stainless, silver paint on brick, IKEA mirrors. Nice.\n\nService - varies, usually very competent. The owner is maybe reaching for Soup Nazi status? Cranky look on face. Asked me what exactly was a \"simple quesadilla\" for the 4 year old - um, cheese melted on tortilla? And, yeah, I get it that I have a four year old here, but yes she needs to eat too and it is a week night and she is well-behaved and we are paying ... (sorry off topic rant).\n\nFood - now here is the key. We've been here several times since Kevin Sousa became the consulting chef and this menu rocks. I wouldn't call it Mexican but the focus is tacos and more tacos - but the fillings, mmmm, the fillings I could eat here every night. The vietnamese taco with pork belly, trout taco, tomato taco, eel taco, and many others. The flavors are so delicious and layered and unique. Order at least 2 (more if your appetite can bear it). Tacos usually come with a mild-ish jalapeno slices which can be removed. Usually though they are quite - nicely in my opinion - spicy. (When asked if a particular taco was spicy for a 7 year old we were told \"no\" only to have that be the spiciest item we ordered! We like spice though.) The chorizo corn dogs are the best - extremely light batter surrounding spicy and flavorful sausage. I could go on and on. Unique food with spice and layered delicious-ness hard to be found. Really not to be missed if this is your style.\n\nCaveat - I'm not sure that the place can keep up to Kevin Sousa's standards once he is completely gone and his new restaurant opens. I've heard that quality can be inconsistent if he isn't there. I hop not."^^ . "0"^^ . "0"^^ . "2010-05-19T00:00:00"^^ . . . "5"^^ . "1"^^ . .
