There are two floors of varied cultural vendors, including butchers, fresh produce, seafood, unique home-made and natural products - most of which offer something prepared that you can eat right away!\n\nThe best day to go is on Saturday. The market exemplifies Toronto's busy bustling culture at its best - live jazz and blues music vibrates throughout the market - there are free food samples galore: delicious cheeses, pasta & sauces, bacon & mustards, bagels & cream cheeses, jams, salsa's and more!\n\nThe vendors are hand picked based on the naturalness and quality of their product. The vendors are all so friendly... my gorgeous gal and I have a cheese guy!\n\nYou can get anything from the wildest game meats such as kangaroo, or a custom cut Porterhouse steak from some of the butchers. You can even get a whole slew of oysters shucked right in front of you and they are ready to eat.\n\nI highly (edit: very highly) recommend getting yourself the following:\n1) some freshly made pasta from the upstairs pasta location ( and get the \"expensive but worth it\" spicy pesto/alredo/tomato sauce); \n2) some Raspberry beer soaked Sartori cheese (another favourite is the Buffalo Parmesan cheese); and,\n3) of course Kozlik's Bordeaux mustard - you even get to try sizzling back bacon while trying his mustard's! \n\nI've been told that this is the number one place for a date in Toronto, even a first date... and I can see that!"^^ .
