We had made reservations for the Bistro about a month a head of time but the day before added to our party making it a party of 4. When we arrived we were all surprised to find out it was a teeny little restaurant. While it was really cute it only seats about 26 customers and that is included 10 at the counter. We didn't get seated until about 30 minutes after our reservation because some tables took a long time with their lunch. The hostess was friendly and apologetic eventually. I wanted to make the experience nice for my kids birthdays. And did not want to complain. This service is very slow which my husband joked that they must be cooking in a doll sized kitchen. The servers are not very polished, they did their best but lacked good training . It took about 15 minutes to get a smoothie , which did get comped. The food was enjoyable but definitely not upscale entr\u00E9es like the American Girl cafe. This is more like eating at a Ruby's Diner. We did have a cake and a bag of goodies for girls, they were happy so we were happy. Hopefully they will get it together but it has been open long enough for them to have perfected the service.\nIt looked like one of the off duty staff was having a party but unfortunately she was poorly behaved and if I were the manager I would give her some counceling. She was a poor reflection on the restaurant. \nAs a mom you want this experience to be magical, like Disneyland dining. It was not but could very easily be accomplished with more training. I've worked in the restaurant industry and it really starts at the management level . $30 a birthday lunch per girl is quite a profit."^^ . "2016-05-22T00:00:00"^^ . . "2"^^ .
