It was hot but a perfect day for some river dancin on a tube!\nWe brought a large umbrella for both of us, perfect shade when we needed a break from the sun\n\nPROS:\n- inexpensive. $17 to rent a tube\n- $17 includes bus transport to the river stop\n- you can provide your own tube and then is $14 for the bus ride\n- the bus ride is fast b/c the bus drivers are hauling ass\n- you can bring whatever alcohol you want, just NO GLASS CONTAINERS!! \n- you can float for 2, 4, or 6 hours down the river. There's different check points to get down at \n- some people had blow up mattresses, big tubing platforms, fun shaped and colored flotation devices, etc. \n- other tubers were well behaved and had fun. They were throwing a million marshmallows around but it was comical. One hit me in the butt when I was laying on my stomach. \n- they have little trash bags so ask for them \n\nCONS:\n- old ass busses, felt like maybe they might collapse or disintegrate while in it. But they were fine\n- your whole body sticks to the bus seats so if u have a sheet or towel sit on it\n- wish they had rentable coolers that fit in their inner tubes\n- last bus was supposed to be around 6/6:30 but at 5pm the driver was saying they were the last bus. Make sure you check with the facility so u don't get stranded\n- it's not a bad thing but there's a lot of young people partying. Like college freshman/sophomores. We felt old and I'm only 33. But they were all having a good time and well behaved\n- watch the awkward tan lines!! Ha\n\nHELPFUL TIPS:\n- HAVE A DD, sheriffs are there and lots of cops in area\n- get there EARLY so you can do more of the river and go longer. The time goes by fast, especially if your drinking\n- bring a sheet to put on the tubes, you'll be glad you did\n- make sure your cooler isn't big and square or it won't fit in the tube or in the bucket they can provide with a baby tube. \n- get there early before it gets too hot to stand\n- pack food & water, don't do all that drinking without water or food\n- pack hydration: water, power aide, coconut water, etc. \n- where water shoes or Crocs, it's not that deep and you don't want to touch mucky bottom\n- if you are bringing a go pro or something than bring goggles incase you drop it in the water. \n- pack sunscreen \n- if you can take a soft textured blowup bed, we saw people with these and I think it's better than being stuck in a big rubber doughnut for hours\n- if it's really hot, take an umbrella to block some sun. Very nice if there's a breeze\n- bring a bandana, hat, or something to not get sunburn on scalp or where you part your hair. \n- if you bring ur phone get a waterproof case and a tight touch ziplock bag. \n- get a ride or drive. Taxis are outrageously priced"^^ . .
