My right breast was leaking clear fluid and I had quite a lot of pain on only that breast.\nMy mother had breast cancer 4 years ago, luckily, she beat it. Two of my maternal aunts have also had a couple of scares as well. \nOf course, I did not take this lightly. \nThey called me before I was able to call first. My doctor advised to give them 5-7 days before doing so.\nI was able to make an appointment based on my availability. \nThe receptionist was very kind. I was very nervous.\nI'm moved inside it's my boyfriend, a medical assistant reviews questions with me, glad she did, some of the information taken was incorrect. \nFinally, the doctor returns. She's nice and asks questions about what I do for work and what type of bras I wear. She leaves.\nI'm moved to a different room to wait, without my boyfriend, to have a sonogram taken of my breast. \nI'm moved back into the waiting room where I wait for my results. I was beyond nervous, nauseous even.\nFinally, a nurse takes me to a small room to give them to me. She lets me know I have bruising on my right rib cage and hands me a couple of papers on how to help myself with the pain.\nI tell her I am unhappy with how the appointment went. \nI felt the doctor never asked enough questions and the sonogram of my breast didn't focus on my nipple or the whole breast.\nShe gets the doctor.\nI must say, this woman entered the room and began to belittle me, she said I wasn't wearing the correct bras. Informed me they never see patients with that type of pain or clear liquid coming out of breast.\nI then asked it that were so, then why did THEY call me to schedule an appointment. Why put me through this emotionally. Why have me drive across town and spend 2 hrs in this office and pay a copay of $30? \nWhy didn't they call my gynecologist and take this up with them? She, of course, had no answer.\nAll I really can say is, this woman has NO business being in the medical field. None. She lacked compassion and profession. As the daughter of a breast cancer survivor, of course I took this serious and I will not let this woman discourage me after this horrible experience."^^ .
