This was my first time getting extensions which I wanted (not needed) bcz: I knew I was going to have puffy eyes and doing the \"ugly cry\" in front of extended family members and strangers who were friends of family. Kind of pathetic, but it's hard enough to mourn in private, let alone in public. \n\nAnyways, when I found Flawless here on yelp.com, I called them straight-away based on existing reviews. The Flawless staff were extremely kind and were able to get me in the day I called. Lauren, who wasn't even scheduled to be in that late, agreed to squeeze me in for one hour and 15 mins - which was still a gift. Nicole (I think), the person booking me warned me in advance that I'd only be able to get as much of a \"full set\" that the time-frame allowed (read: it's normally a 2 hours appointment for a full set). Pretty sure that my loved one who passed did some magic on my behalf (not being sarcastic), because the person who was scheduled right before me ended up canceling. Consequently, I was able to get a full set of lashes which were great.\n\nIn terms of the actual lash application service, I'd give Lauren a full 5 stars. She helped me make the best decision for the kinds of lashes I wanted - somewhere between completely \"natural\" and \"over the top\". She also adapted the lashes based on the shape of my eyes and my own lashes. Both matter apparently, although I never would have realized that it's easier/harder to have lashes applied if your natural lashes are curly or \"lay flat\" (mine are the latter). Since a lot of what technicians have to do is to educate their customers, I'd also give Lauren 5 stars for the clarity of her explanation and the patience with which she provided it. In terms of personality, Lauren was also great: fun and easy to talk to. The two of us chattered away for most of the appointment. Although the other clients laying on either side of me never said a word (people say you can easily fall asleep during application), I enjoyed Lauren's upbeat persona as well as her serious technician skills. \n\nIt's now been several days since my lashes were applied and I'm still loving them. I think they will do what they were intended to do: help me look presentable in a very trying public situation. Although I don't plan to go back to refill the lashes (recommended every 2 or 3 weeks), I can say that my experience with this business was definitely excellent - hence my 5 star review. \n\nThe only other things I'd mention for future customers is to expect a relatively modest - but clean and neat - office space. The business, which is located in Lakewood on the second floor above Rozetti's Wine (I think), is perfectly fine and the restroom for customers (shared by adjacent offices) is immaculate. I personally don't have a problem with the smaller, older space, but persnickety folks who expect something more luxurious may want to go elsewhere - where they'll also pay more for the extensions. Personally, I'd prefer getting great service in a clean, perfectly fine location. But that's me. Aside from that, do remember to click on the yelp coupon here if you're going in. The staff honored the coupon which brought my total down by $10. \n\nAll in all, a great first-time experience and one which I'd highly recommend to friends. Great customer service, knowledgeable techs who do excellent work, and a fair price even before the coupon. Well done and many thanks."^^ . "0"^^ . "2017-07-10T00:00:00"^^ . . .
