"I attended the Chinese Lantern Festival here tonight as my first excursion to the Gardens. We purchased tickets ahead of time online which was fortuitous as the event had sold out for those buying at the venue. Though some distance from the Belmont business district signage was posted at prominent intersections along the way. I had no idea how many people would be attending but obviously they did. Parking was extremely well directed by attendants and shuttles were available to take visitors to and from tee main entrance. Inside we were greeted by staff members to get info, maps as or to answer questions. We were able to stroll through the exhibit outdoors at our own pace. There was quite a large crowd there but with a little patience everyone moved through ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the incredible lanterns. There was a live martial arts show, a shadow play and vendors of event souvenirs. The pathways through the gardens were well-laid out though unevenness in areas made it somewhat risky for some senior visitors. Some low lighting along the pathways might have made the paths safer. All in all it was a delightful event and I enjoyed the lanterns immensely. This event was certainly worth the admission price and the long drive to the Gardens."^^ . "0"^^ . . . .
