The renters in my house move in this upcoming Monday. \nLast week: Reserve the move over the phone (they don't request a walk through) to move items from my house to storage and the new apartment. \n-I describe to them the entire layout of the house, apartment and storage\n-I purchase the packup, and unpack package. Meaning they will organize items in my apartment\n-I'm promised a move last Friday which is perfect since I have Friday-Monday off. \n-They later call back and move it to Sunday (Father's Day) after taking my deposit\n-They promise a 9am arrival time Sunday and the job to be completed in one day\n-I have labeled all items in my house as \"Apartment\" or \"Storage\" or \"keep in house for renters\"\n\nSunday:\n\n-They don't show up until 11:30am\n-The movers state they didn't know the job was one day even though they verify it with their boss over the phone\n-We do the walk through to review everything that has to go \n-They spend hours loading the truck\n-My dining/pool table is damage and the wood floor at the entrance is beyond scratched. Pieces of wood have come up from them dragging the table\n-They have placed photos in trashbags and frames are damaged\n-They still have items at the house that need to be dropped off to storage after calling it quits at 11pm\n-Pool table and home gym still remain unmoved (renters definitely want these removed)\n-I still generously tip all the movers\n-I remind the customer service agent that this is supposed to be a one day job and need them to at least start in the morning to finish the job on time on Monday (no work that day) that I'm rested for work on Tuesday\n-The agent promises a 12pm arrival on Monday\n\nMonday: \n-morning: I look outside and there is trash outside the apartment building (water bottles, pizza (I paid for it at the house). I take 30 min to clean this up myself as I don't want to be \"that resident\"\n-The movers don't show up until 6:30pm and it's a different crew\n-I leave the house for dinner at 8:00pm for an hour and when I get back items have remained unmoved (they took a break and still charged me for the time)\n-at 11:30 they are still loading the truck and promise to load the pool table and gym last \n-The guys label the boxes as \"apartment\" and \"storage\" and don't even write down the contents. That creates a fun guessing game in the future\n-There are still a myriad of items in the house that have to be loaded\n-The supervisor Ray shows up and immediately places blame on me for this being a job much bigger than they anticipated\n-I express disappointment with the movers showing up 6 hours late the day before I have work\n-I have to grab some sleep before work and hence they promise to finish the job the next day at 6pm and charge me for a third day\n\nTuesday (yesterday)\n-The movers show up at 6:30pm after I get off work and it's the original crew along with Ray\n-Items still need to be dropped off at storage and the pool table/gym remain in house along with a myriad of other items\n-They drop off items at the apartment (photos are in trashbags instead of boxed, shoes are in trashcans from my house, suits and hanged clothes are in trashbags instead of wardrobe boxes)\n-Mind you they spend 1 hour bringing stuff up to the apartment that is clearly labeled storage and asking me where should it go. How would I know where items go if they are not labeled????? I even reminded the crew to do this!\n-photos and frames are shattered in trashbags that were from my house\n-I remind them other items remain at the house along with the pool table and gym\n-We get to the house and do the walk through again \n-They then state they won't be able to move the pool table and gym and they are not going to move the remaining items in the house!!!\n-Ray says I'm on my own as the job was bigger than they thought\n-Obviously I'm irate and HE ORDERS HIS CREW TO UNLOAD ALL OF MY ITEMS OFF THE TRUCK IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE \n-This disagreement takes place in front of my neighbors and the crew is shaking their heads at Ray as this is not the first time he's made an irrational decision\n-They convince their boss to calm down and ask to at least drop the items off at storage since none of this is my fault\n-Ray finally agrees and they state they'll just drop the items off at storage but nothing else. I'm on my own to unpack all items in my apartment, move remaining items in my house and figure out the damage that has been done\n-Mind you this is the day before work\n-My neighbor comes out and complains that they left trash in the neighborhood after they left yesterday\n\nWhen I arrive to storage Ray has CALLED THE POLICE ON ME\nHe states he will not unload the truck in storage until the police arrive to ensure I will pay for their services?\nI remind him I never stated I wouldn't pay and he states \"because I don't think you'll pay I called the police\"\nCMPD arrives and asks if this is a joke. I still have items in my house that remain unmoved and my apartment is trashed."^^ . . "1"^^ . . "1"^^ . "2018-06-20T00:00:00"^^ .
