"I have to surmise that this place subsists by selling extortionately overpriced trinkets & accessories to groups of \"bros\" heading out for bachelor parties and tourists who just don't know any better. Whatever their angle is, they certainly don't seem to have made it this far by providing value for money or exceptional customer service. \n\nWhether its something seemingly as innocuous as a lighter which sells for $5.99 at Casablanca selling for $2.25 at my local Hasty Market (itself hardly a place to shop for bargains), or a more troubling issue such as 2 of the 8 cigars I have purchased here over the last 2 months or so unravelling while being smoked, I can't say I have been left feeling \"warm and fuzzy\" about my shopping experience at Casablanca. Most egregiously, they recently refused to exchange a defective humidor that was purchased as a gift for me in May, despite it having been returned to them 3 times over the past 6-8 weeks for consistently not holding 70 degrees humidity for more than a 24-48 hour period. \n\nI even have a written promise in an email from one of the staff saying that they would exchange the humidor if I brought it in *yet again* that the owner/manager refused to honour when I tried to exchange it for a working model a few weeks ago. He looked at a small scuff on the lid (no doubt incurred on on of the 3 trips to and from the store) and said \"what am I supposed to do with this? its damaged\". How is that my problem, as a customer with defective merchandise that was purchased in your store? Take it up with your supplier! \n\nI find it amazing that, rather than exchange my humidor (and perhaps, if he was shrewd, sell me another, more expensive model) the owner decided that whatever margin he made on the $50 humidor was more important and valuable than keeping me as a customer. I live 3 blocks away from the shop, and I would most likely be buying a few cigars a week for who knows how long going forward. It also blows my mind that a brick and mortar business such as this, which is constantly being undercut on price by various internet retailers, wouldn't do their best to provide outstanding customer service as really, when you look at it, thats really the only thing this type of business has going for it when trying to compete. \n\nAll in all this was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in years. This is the kind of place that gives small \"mom and pop\" type businesses a bad name. \n\nIn the weeks since my last visit to Casablanca I have been frequenting a shop near yonge/bloor where prices are a little higher (~ $0.50-$1.00 more per stick) but the 6 cigars I've bought have all been excellent quality and the owner seems to appreciate my business. I would be willing to bet that the owner of the new place has made more off my cigar purchases in the last 2 weeks alone than Casablanca did off the humidor purchase, but again thats just me...I guess not everyone sees the big picture, right?\n\nI wish it were possible to give this establishment less than one star, but its not."^^ .
