You gotta see this place at least once in your lifetime as it truly has to be experienced in person. What engineering marvel. It is about 726 feet high and 1244 feet long, and connects Nevada and Arizona. You can clearly see why this landmark has been named one of the Seven Industrial Wonders of the World.\n\nThe one movie in the late 90s I remember this place most from in my younger days: \"Fools Rush In\" starring Matthew Perry and Selma Hayek (I must have been I was in love with her at that stage in life, what a beautiful human being!). In that romantic comedy, they meet at the Arizona/Nevada state line right at the middle of Hoover Dam. From what I remember, there was never really a line there and that it was painted just for the movie. From what I recall, the directors or whoever calls the shots decided after the movie to keep it there with the plaque that indicates the state line. It is still there the last time I dropped by.\n\nAdvice for those looking to check this place out, DO NOT go during the peak summer season. I recall a couple of times I came up there and after finally finding a parking spot, I stepped out to 115 degree heat that absolutely sucked all the moisture out of my body. It felt like I was in a human oven cooking and cannot breathe. My shoes felt like they are melting underneath me as I took each step on the smoldering concrete, ouch! Approximately 45 seconds later, all five of my guests and I ran back to the car, blasted the A/C, gulped down whatever drinks we had and got the hell out of dodge!\n\nAs for the tour, pretty cool to check out only the first time you visit and if you like seeing the inner workings and learning more about its history."^^ .
