. . "I love this place. It's as simple as that. My partner and I stayed at the King Edward for our anniversary weekend and we were immediately impressed. The King Edward is a beautiful hotel, yes it is old, but it is beautiful. If you are looking for ultra modern this isn't the place. However I feel that you are missing out. The room we got was huge! When I mean huge, I mean big enough to easily put in two king side beds. The room we were in had iPod dock alarm clocks. The bathroom was nice and large. Oh and the closet? A walk in closet. This closet was big enough for a twin sized bed. If you need room, then you will love this place.\n\nThis place wins major points for service. When we checked in, the desk staff asked us if we were there for a special reason. We told them. A few hours later? They sent up a dish of chocolate covered strawberries and in chocolate they wrote \"congratulations\". Amazing. In addition, I had to print out tickets for the Jays and instead of charging me to use the business centre, they printed it out for me for free. Yes, it's not a huge deal, but honestly, it is the details that count.\n\nAnother great thing about this hotel is the location. There are a ton of fantastic restaurants in the area within walking distance. It's close to The Esplanade and St. Lawrence Market. Since it is close to a lot of the financial sectors, you can find some great places to get some bespoke suits. I know, random, but just thought you'd like to know. Finally, the hotel is really close to the subway system.\n\nDown sides? While the hotel is beautiful, the room I was in would benefit from a bit of a reno. You have to pay for internet (I'll never like that) and they charge for local calls.\n\nOverall I love this place. I highly recommend it. Even though it is pricier, it is definitely worth it."^^ .
