I was very pleasantly surprised with how good the steaks were. \nMy husband & I went for an early dinner on a Saturday. The place is dimly lit & has the old school darker decor with some framed pictures on the wall. There is an intimate feel but not crowded like I've seen at other more modern strip casino steak restaurants where you are seated close to others but yet can barely hear your own conversations because of how loud it is.\nI felt comfortable to have been wearing jeans, a nice top & heals, without feeling under dressed. It is definitely not a shorts & sandals kind of place but how many steak restaurants are aside from Outback? \n\nJim was our server & he was professional, polite, & came around just enough times to make sure we were taken care of but also allowed us to enjoy our dinner. His team was also very efficient in quietly clearing the table in between courses. \nWe started by splitting a Caesar salad. It was good but nothing special. I had the 12 ounce filet and husband had 14 ounce prime NY strip. Both were cooked to our liking & seasoned well. The steaks were moist & very flavorful. My filet was the cleanest piece of meat I have had. I had absolutely no gristle & didn't cut away any bit of it. It was tender & needed no sauce whatsoever. They were served on piping hot plates that kept the steaks very warm but didn't cook it. \nWe also ordered au gratin potatoes & steamed asparagus. Potatoes were slightly saltier than I liked but very creamy & cheesy and decadent. Asparagus were cooked perfectly, al dente. \nThe food was so good, we laughed at how quiet we both were, just savoring every bite & not saying too much. \n\nWe finished off the meal with some really good coffee & a nice chocolate mousse that was a perfect end to the incredible meal. \n\nIve been to a few steak places in town but compared to some places I have been to such as Strip Steak, Hugo's Cellar (both horrible meals & we felt ripped off by the first)The Barrymore (great meal), Flemings, Mon Ami Gabi, Morton's, SW Steakhouse, Sonoma Cellar, Del Friscos, and Hanks to name a few, this was the meal we enjoyed the most! \n\nNow the bar is set."^^ .
