"0"^^ . . . "I have NEVER been disrespected by a doctor's office staff like today. I called into Dr. John C. Lin's Sunrise Urology office today to speak to someone about a bill that I received. Previously, on 09-26-2016 I spoke to Octavia about a bill that I received. I was told by Octavia that the bill should be waived because they did not have my correct contact info to reach out to me and confirm my appointment. Octavia said she would submit my bill to someone and get back to me. Eight days passed and I never received a call or letter from Sunrise Urology so I decided to call them to see what the status was. On 10-04-2016 I spoke to Olympia and asked her what the status on this bill was. She said she would call Octavia, who was not currently in the office, and ask her since she was the one who dealt with me before. Olympia said she would call me right back. I never received a call back. That brings us to today 10-10-2016 when I called in and spoke to Octavia. I asked Octavia what the status was on my bill that she said should get waived and she said she needed to place me on a brief hold. Without telling me she transferred me to the someone else. I explained to that other person what was going on and she quickly cut me off and said that the bill will not be waived and that I need to be more responsible like most patients are and keep track of my appointments even if they are scheduled six months in advance. I said hold on there is no need to disrespect me because I am not being rude I am just trying to understand the conflicting stories I have been getting from her office. I explained to her that my wife works at a doctor's office so I know the rude people they have to deal with and that is not what is going on here, I am just simply calling about my bill. She told me that the only way the bill will get waived is if I make another appointment to see Dr. Lin. I explained to her that I am in between jobs and at the moment do not have insurance. She said well then I can't help you. So I ask her who else can talk to so maybe they can help me. She said that would be Dr. Lin but he is busy with patients and can not come to the phone. I asked what her name was and she said Irma. I said I can wait it'll only take a couple minutes then Irma says goodbye and hangs up on me. So I call back and my call gets automatically forwarded three times and not picked up, to Irma's voicemail. I call a forth time and Octavia picks up the phone. I say Octavia please do not transfer me to Irma I need to speak with Dr. Lin about what is going on. Octavia says okay no problem then transferred me to Irma again. At this point I figured out that this office is playing a game at my expense. Irma picks up and says I already told you that I can't help you. I asked does Dr. Lin know you speak to his patients this way? And she said yes he's right next to me. I said so he if he is next to you can I please speak to him and she said no he is with a patient. So I said so you're talking to me like this in front of him and a patient? She did not respond so I tried to get an email or voicemail for him. Irma kept cutting me off did not allow me to speak so I said I will come to the office and speak to Dr. Lin in person. Irma said I better not go over there and threatened to call the Police. I said I just want to speak to Dr. Lin it doesn't have to get to that I am not going over there to cause a scene.So I drive over to Sunrise Urology, which is a forty minute drive from where I live. I get there and Octavia was at the front desk. I said I need to speak with Dr. Lin please. She said okay no problem just have a seat and he'll be with you in a few minutes. So I had a seat and waited for a few minutes. Octavia then called me back to the front desk and said he is very busy with patients and can't see me. I said Octavia I don't mind waiting longer and if he could see me just for a couple minutes in between patients or even before he leaves for lunch I would really appreciate it. She said okay just give him about fifteen minutes then. I said okay not a problem. So about two minutes pass and a different woman calls me up to the front desk window. She said I already told you that Dr. Lin is too busy to speak to you and that we can no longer help you with this matter. I tried to explain that I have the right as a patient to have a word with my doctor especially after today's experience. Irma said why are you yelling at me, as if she was trying to sell herself as the victim. I said I am not yelling at all what are you talking about. The whole time I was calm and collected and talked very respectful.Irma then told me we called the Police so you know and I told Dr. Lin what was going on, he doesn't want to see you or speak to you. The Police came and Sunrise Urology trespassed me from their office. I could not believe what just happened and how this staff just treated me. \nDR.
