Culinary students work the back and front of the house to gain experience in all aspects of working in a restaurant. At the end of each quarter, they have a buffet which I have attended a few times. The food has always been delicious!!! The buffet usually books up pretty quickly, so I would recommend making a reservation if you can.\n\nThey also serve a regular lunch menu every Tuesday and Wednesday. The menus change frequently and typically follow a theme of a certain country's cuisine. For example, I ate there for lunch today and the food was all German-inspired. Pretzels and cheese, schnitzel, bratwurst, etc.\n\nI ordered off the special Sous Chef menu--Chicken Chardonnay which came served with a broccoli and cheese risotto. YUM! My friends had the Sauerbraten dish (roast pork with spatzle and brussel sprouts) and the Reuben. Everyone was very happy with their meals! \n\nThe portions are not gigantic, but that's because the price is right. Sandwiches and entrees were each $7.50 and apps/desserts are $4.00. Quality lunch under $10 in downtown Pittsburgh? Hard to find!"^^ . . . "5"^^ . . "4"^^ . "5"^^ .
