Took the car back there, and told the kid who greeted me about it. His response: \"yeah- those filters are in a shitty location that makes it hard to get to\". By this volunteered response, it seems that he knew exactly what the problem was.\n\nAfter five minutes in the pit, the kid emerges and pulls my car out of the bay. He says there was residual oil on the frame, and he wiped it off. He said he checked the oil, and its full so there is no leak. I said- all you did was wipe away oil? He said Yes.I was skeptical, but drove away. I parked in a different location, and sure enough within an hour there was a new oil spot. We quickly returned to the station, because they were scheduled to close.\n\nWhen I pulled up, the same kid and another were sitting on chairs, not looking pleased I was back. A guy came out of an office area- I assume he was a supervisor, and asked is it still leaking? I said Yes- he said lets get it in and I'll check it myself.\n\nWithin 2 minutes, he called out to me that I had a leak- the oil filter is wet. He blamed it on a \"faulty filter\" He replaced the filter and checked the oil- which was a quart and a half low- and instructed the kid to fill the oil. The supervisor was apologetic, but never offered any refund or any kind of compensation- despite three trips taking up my time, and the possible damage that could have been done to my engine. If we had left for a long trip that day, we could have wound up stranded somewhere with a burned out engine.\n\nI dont believe it was a faulty filter- I believe it wasnt installed correctly the first time. Something the kid should have detected and fixed."^^ .
