"I think the trick to getting non-chunky taro bubble tea here is to request it as a smoothie--which, not surprisingly, means upping the price. \n\nIf you're in Oakland and in the mood for some greasy noodles (sometimes I actually am), Lulu's can be all right. The menu is pretty clear on which dishes can be made vegetarian, which I appreciated. I don't really expect authenticity with a Pan-Asian place, so I'd go with dishes that are less \"traditional,\" like the chow fun or the pan-fried noodles. Big portions, pretty fast.\n\nDon't think I need to mention the service here--other people have covered that. It'd be nice, though, if when you ordered the taro bubble tea (non-smoothie), that they'd warn you that the drink came with taro bits. I've never had a taro bubble tea anywhere else that wasn't smooth (other than the boba). But I guess I shouldn't expect that, given the general quality of service here."^^ . . "0"^^ .
