"So many reviews and not a single vegan review so I'll take the time to write up a review for vegans looking for a place to eat.\n\nThe restaurant is really cute and not-at-all like the typical Pittsburgh restaurant scene. This is a place I would take my mom or if I wanted to have a light lunch. Everything on the menu seemed really tasty and fresh. The chef has his name on the menu which always makes me feel like there is care and thought put into the food. \n\nTofu is offered as a substitution on many food items (salad, jerk tofu skewers, etc) but they all included either butter or mayo. When the waitress found out my girlfriend was a vegan she went back to the chef to let him know. His response was \"Don't worry, it'll be awesome\". He made some light pasta dish with some delicious veggies in there and my girlfriend said it was FANTASTIC. She couldn't believe how flavorful the dish was and how perfectly cooked the pasta came out. \n\nI had the cafe chicken sandwich which came with hot peppers and fresh mozzarella cheese. All very delicious although I thought the bread was a little too crunchy but the tomato bisque it came with helped with softening the bread and was also really flavorful on its own.\n\nWe will definitely be coming back. Don't be afraid to tell the waitress you're a vegan because the chef knows what he's doing.\n\nP.S. They have a full bar!"^^ . "4"^^ . "6"^^ . "2012-07-19T00:00:00"^^ . . "2"^^ .
