I give this place 3 stars because I have had issues on numerous occasions where the store was not yet prepared to serve customers in accordance with the enticements published in their mass-mailed ad sheets. Specific examples include a particular weekend BOGO event, where over one hundred items were advertised as BOGO yet none of the items were marked on the shelves when I walked in Saturday morning. Even if I came to the store prepared with a shopping list, I had to constantly pull the ad up on my phone to double-check that the item matched what was in the ad. Even with my checking, some of the prices did not ring up as BOGO @ the register. Ultimately, I made some erroneous purchases out of confusion and ended up returning several items. It was the most tedious grocery trip ever. Other times, I have had to point out at the register that an item was advertised as being a certain price and had to prove it by showing the clerk my phone. For instance, there was one time when coconut water was advertised in print as $14.99 for a case, but there was an in-store deal going for 2 cans @ $3. I purchased several cases and was charged the in-store deal price, rather than the printed ad price (which was a better deal). I eventually sought a refund of the difference, which required involving a manager and holding up a check-out line. As a grocery store, you really need to know your own ad sheets inside out. That's just a must. Another huge issue I have with Earth Fare is that some of the most alluring email ads often feature produce items that are nearly rotten (and not even organic). Of course, you don't find this out until you walk in the door. Although there are many positive little things about this store as well, it's the several instances of sloppiness with respect to money matters that has lead me to go elsewhere for regular grocery shopping."^^ .
