It is a hot spot for those looking for authentic, not ambience. I appreciate the homey feel, but the food would make wading through sewage worth every effort. I am a vegetarian so I cannot speak for any of the meat dishes, but I have loved the things they have put together specifically for me so accommodate my needs. This translates to GREAT SERVICE! Next time I'm in I will pay more attention to what I am engulfing so I can write an updated review on the things I've loved other than the green corn tamales, which alone are well worth the drive. \n\nI love ma & pa owned & operated businesses and this is one of my favorite places to dine for lunch when I find myself in North Phoenix.
