"Great country atmosphere with lots of potential to be really cool, but definitely a place to visit on weekends when the weather is nice. \n\nThe \"shack\" that houses the bar and grill is a bit grungy with thousands of old $1 bills hanging from the ceiling and walls, there is only seating for about 10 inside so we ended up eating outside in the wind and rain. \n\nFood and drinks were decent but a bit overpriced with a cash-only bar (they have an ATM that charges a $2.75 fee). Burgers are cooked to medium (though mine was still pretty gooey in the center) so if you're not the raw meat type you may want to specify well-done. No deep fryer so it's pretty much grilled items only with a side of ruffles.\n\nThe two people working the place were pleasant but the whole vibe was awkward like we'd walked into a locals-only club and were interrupting the conversation.\n\nThe web site states live music Thursday thru Sunday but there was no activity indicating that when we left around 8pm. The shack didn't even have background music and the piped in music outside was quiet and dull.\n\nOverall, not the country western hot spot we were expecting so we left quite disappointed. We may visit again on a Saturday night when the weather is better, but until then, we'll stick with The Roadrunner in New River."^^ . "2014-08-01T00:00:00"^^ . .
